Comparison and Field Trial of Make-Before-Break Handover on Wireless LAN

(in English) Make-Before-Break Handover eliminates packet losses during handover without additional delays that are imposed by methods proposed in IETF. We implemented Make-Before-Break Handover on Wireless LAN, built a testbed with 11 access points along a loop street in Yokosuka Research Park, and conducted a field trial in the testbed. This paper reports its successful results that demonstrate no packet-loss handover by our method.
