A Study on Cell Search Performances for DPC-OF/TDMA in MIMO Transmission Systems

(in English) This paper proposes a cell search algorithm for the downlink dynamic parameter controlled orthogonal frequency and time division multiple access (DPC - OF/TDMA) systems to establish the communication link between the terminal and the base station (BS) under multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) transmission conditions. In the proposed algorithm, after all the symbol timings of multipaths from all the transmit antennas and detectable BSs are detected by taking correlation between the guard interval (GI) and useful symbol duration-delayed received signal, slot timing and each BS delay profile are detected by taking correlation between the received signal and the pilot symbol generated from the cell-specific spreading code, and frame timing is detected by the frame guard. Finally, the frame control message slot (FCMS) is decoded by using space time block code (STBC) technique. Computer simulation confirms that most of terminals can detect the optimum BS within 200 msec in MIMO transmission conditions.
