Fast Learning Approach Using Self Organizing Map

(in English) The authors previously presented a speech recognition system exploiting the normal Self Organizing Map (SOM) as a feature extractor and HMM as a feature recognizer. Due to data bending in the feature space, SOM couldn稚 perform well in such situations. In the current work we propose a new SOM neural model that performs non-linear principal components analysis (NLPCA). Experimental results show that the new model has better performance than the SOM network. Additionally, the new SOM consumes less time and computation complexity than normal SOM especially for large data set
