The authors have been developing a wireless television camera which can transmit short delay and high quality HDTV signals with a camera person moving around anywhere in a studio, hall, etc. To meet the requirements of wide bandwidth, high spectral efficiency, and robustness against indoor multi-path propagation, we consider millimeter-wave bands and MIMO-OFDM as its frequency and transmission scheme, respectively. For stable transmission, how to deploy the transmit antennas and receive antennas is an important factor. Therefore, we performed ray-tracing simulation for 2-transmitter and 2- to 4-receiver MIMO-OFDM systems. Here we show a desirable antenna spacing which can achieve excellent spatial distribution of MIMO channel characteristics. |
