Statistical 4D PET Reconstruction Using Local Likelihood Method

(in English) It is necessary to presume tissue Time Activity Curve (tTAC) in high accuracy to estimate parametric image that shows bodily function information. As a conventional method, the technique for estimating in the maximum likelihood by using the list mode data that maintains the detection time of the gamma ray is proposed. However, this technique has the problem that convergence is slow, and the calculation time becomes very huge. Then, we proposed the technique for improving convergence by defining local likelihood of each time-domain, and presuming for each likelihood to become the maximum. Moreover, we confirmed effectiveness of proposal method by the computer simulation.
