Computer-Aided Detection system has been developed for the purpose of diagnosis of current mammogram. In this paper, we propose the new CAD system by use of the interval change detection process. In our proposed system, firstly, suspicious regions (SRs) extracted from current image are classified based on degree of malignancy. Secondary, corresponding region of the SR classified as abnormal are extracted from the previous image and analyzed. At last, the regions are classified based on the average and interval change between degree of malignancy of current image and that of previous ones. Experimental result using 122 real mammogram pairs shows 4.53% increase for Az and 0.27 decrease for false positives per image from our previous system. |
