Response of Coupled Costas Loops with Imperfect Phase Detectors and Noise Sources -- Stochastic Resonance in Periodic-Potential Systems --
Hisato Fujisaka, Asuka Watanabe, Takeshi Kamio (Hiroshima City Univ.)
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) First-order Costas loops and their coupled systems are considered as systems with periodic potentials defined on one and N-dimensional tori. A imperfection of phase detectors in the loops adds spatially and temporally periodic fluctuations to the potentials. This paper shows by means of linear response theory and numerical simulation that the fluctuations and additive noise cause stochastic resonance in the coupled loops.
