Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In this study, we examined the dependency of a propagated rectangle wave on 'Courant Freidrich Lewy'(CFL) conditions analyzed by using FDTD, Constrained Interpolation Profile (CIP), and Rational-function CIP (R-CIP) methods.

Specifically, we analyzed the case of decreasing CFL slightly from one and changing CFL considerably to 0.5, 0.25, and 0.125.
We converted analysis results into frequency spectrum using FFT.
Then, we calculated errors between the theoretical and analytic values, and examined the wave propagation characteristics by each analysis method.

As a result, in the case of decreasing CFL slightly from one, the analyzed spectrum conformed to the theoretical one in all methods.
But, in the case that CFL is 0.9999 and 0.99, the result by FDTD methods showed divergence and vibration, and the spectrum decreased when using CIP or R-CIP method.

Then, when CFL is less than or equal to 0.5, using FDTD method, the spectrum remained to match the theoretical figures, but the error of backlash alignment was large and the spectrum got unstable.
Using CIP method, thespectrum decreased in a high frequency range compared with the one by FDTD method, and using R-CIP method, the spectrum decreased in an even lower frequency range.
Therefore, when using CIP or R-CIP methods, it was confirmed the analyzed wave became more diffused.
