Optical flow estimation using virtual gradient

(in English) The gradient method using gray-level images is proposed as motion estimation. However, it takes time to estimate motion because it calculates over the image. It has the problem that motion measurement is less accurate
when the images has noise or at the area which the intensity distribution is discontinuous. It also has aperture problem. The edges or the corners have much information about motion of object. In this paper, we calculate only at the edges when we estimate the motion. We assume that object are rigid and the edge of the object has virtual gradient of intensity. Motion measurement is calculated using it. We discuss the aperture problem by experimentation.
