On Inferring Network Impact Factors by Decomposition of Mixed Distribution

(in English) An end-to-end round trip time (RTT) is one of the most important communication characteristics for Internet applications.
From the viewpoint of network operators, RTT may also become one of the important variables to understand the network characteristics.
For this case, we should know how a factor such as network incident influences RTTs.
However, it is obvious that two or more factors may interfere in observed delay characteristics, because characteristics of packet transmission delays in the Internet are strongly dependent on the time-dependent condition of the network.
In the previous work we proposed modeling method by using mixed distribution as a method of more accurately expressible to express delay characteristic more accurately in an environment where two or more impact factors exist together.
However, no investigations have been shown to infer the network behavior based on modeling results.
In this paper, we propose an estimation method of network behavior by decomposition of the mixed distribution.
Furthermore, in experimental environment, we investigate the influence that cause by each network impact factor independently which affects the characteristics of the RTT distribution.
By applying the proposed method, we also presume the events that occur in network from the measurements of RTTs and its result of decomposition.
