Link aggregation is the bonding together of two or more links into a single link that appears as a single, higher-bandwidth logical link and it is standardized by the IEEE 802.3ad Working Group. In the link aggregation, the important point is the way to allocate connections to the link among multiple links in order to adjust increasing traffic and provide high quality services. However, existing methods, the method that connections use specific link all the time and the method that connections use multiple links dynamically, can not realize both improvement of bandwidth utilization and provide of high quality services. In this paper, we proposed dynamic L2 Distribution method, which allocates connections to the link depending on the traffic situation and connection priority in order to utilize link bandwidth and protect high-priority connections. The characteristics of our method is keeping queue length short and avoiding frame mis-orider. Our method conducts link changeover and decrease bandwidth when light congestion occurs. In addition, we evaluate our method through computer simulation and verify it. |
