A HARP (High-gain Avalanche Rushing amorphous Photoconductor) image sensor with an active-matrix HEED (High-efficiency Electron Emission Device) field emitter array was fabricated and tested. The experimental results show that prototype sensor has both enough resolution for its pixel size and ultra-high sensitivity due to the 15 µm-thickness HARP target, thus demonstrating its potential as a practical image sensor. |
