Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Relating an action and a sound synchronized each other, one can produce a new action according to a new sound by the relation. If the action is played by an actor, this paper shows that the new action succeeds an individuality of the actor. Our action production system has two processes, i.e. teaching and producing. The action measured by motion capture is segmented into basic actions by considering angular acceleration at body joint. The sound is also segmented into parts corresponding to the action segments. The sound segment is modeled as an ARMA model. The teaching is established by relating the action segment with model parameters of the corresponding sound segment. The relation produces a new action of which segment best matches a new sound. In experiments, we prepare action to sound relations of multiple singers. Actions produced by the relations succeed the individuality of each singer.
