Automatic Metadata Generation for Sportscasts -- Data Fusion for Tracking and Identification of Soccer Players --

(in English) This paper proposes an intelligent metadata production system that adaptively integrates multiple image processing schemes and multiple camera views with active gimballing/zooming functionalities. The system has a hierarchical architecture with feature extraction, object tracking, identification, and active sensing processes with interlayer interaction and intralayer multimodality. As solutions for tracking/recognition errors due to motion blurs and/or severe congestion, track-based camera control schemes are introduced and tested.
