BER Performance Analysis of DS-CDMA with Frequency-domain Pre-equalization

(in English) Recently, frequency-domain pre-equalization (pre-FDE) transmission has been attracting attention for improving the SC transmission (e.g., DS-CDMA) performance in a frequency-selective fading channel. Pre-FDE equalizes the transmit signal by using the channel state information at the transmitter side. It has been found that joint pre-FDE and transmit antenna diversity combining is very effective to further improve the transmission performance. However, most of the performance evaluation of pre-FDE was based on the computer simulation only. In this paper, the conditional bit error rate (BER) analysis for the given set of channel gains is presented in a frequency-selective fading channel. The average BER performance in a frequency-selective Rayleigh fading is evaluated by Monte-Carlo numerical computation method using the derived conditional BER and is confirmed by computer simulation of the signal transmission.
