Theoretical analysis for connection success probability in wireless ad-hoc network
Yoichi Sato, Hideki Mizuno (Tokai Univ.)
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) A Wireless Ad-Hoc Network is a new style wireless communication infrastructure which is independent of any wireless base station. In this style network, information is relayed terminal by terminal. One of the promising usage of this wireless Ad-Hoc network is to provide communications tools in the case of disasters, such as an earthquake and wide area natural disasters. In these cases, rescue members can communicate to each other without any conventional communication infrastructures, however, required terminal numbers should be clarified to cover the whole disaster area.
In this paper, the communication connection success probability in wireless Ad-Hoc network is studied, theoreti\\cally. And a numerical simulation shows the same results, therefore, the relation between the area size and the \ number of terminals is clarified
