Wideband and compact folded loop antenna

(in English) A simple and successful design method to obtain the wideband and compact antenna without ground plane is investigated. The antenna is referred to folded loop antenna and wideband characteristics can be obtained by adjusting parameters of it. The calculated and measured results agreed well and more than 50% bandwidth (VSWR≦2) is obtained. Due to the low-profile configuration, the volume of the antenna element is around 50% reduced than that of the former reported one.
