Prototyping of Rapid Protection Switching Function for Layer 2 Ethernet

(in English) A Protection switching mechanism for Layer 2 Ethernet services is very important to provide Carrier-Grade services. End-to-End protection switching for L2 Ethernet is now under study in ITU-T, but there are to many problems. In order to solve these problems, we test for End-to-End protection switching according to the recommendation. This paper describes some problems on realization of the L2 Ethernet protection switching mechanism.
