A novel wireless ad hoc network in which information can be transmitted without using a pre-determined transit route is described. We call this transfer method a wireless group transmission ad hoc network.
It can transmit information without fading degradation or problems in the terminal because other terminals can simultaneously transmit signals that include the same information resources. Whenever the transmission signal is lost between two terminals, the information can be transmitted by other routes. The transmission method in this paper differs from other methods in that complex routing estimation are used.
This routing and signal transmission is automatic with our group transfer method. For 6 nodes, the degradation of equivalent CNR using a group transmission method is 2 dB, when the degradation using the conventional single transmission method is 7.8 dB.
The principles of the group transmission method and the construction of the wireless ad hoc networks using this method are explained. The digital combining and transmission algorithm with its likelihood function is shown with some examples. Finally, the effect of this group transmission method is clarified by a computer simulation. |
