This papers proposes a new method to improve the quality of preschool teachers’ daily observations in child-care, even during hard daily activities, and to make use of it in the counseling and guidance. The proposed observational method uses numerical data of active masses recorded by pedometers, and the method calculates the Euclid distance among children from the active masses of each children. Finally, clustering algorithms are applied to the Euclid distances. In this paper, we evaluated several clustering algorithms. Evaluation using real data shows that majority voting of several clustering results is effective to detect “a difficult child having illegal behavior”, and Ward Method is suitable to detect human relation among children. Also, this paper confirms the high coincidence between the results and remarks of teachers about the children. |
