Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In this paper, we propose a novel code-diversity communication system using a constant amplitude composite sequence to suppress multiple access interference . In the previously proposed code-diversity system, the output of transmitter becomes multi-level by using pseudo noise (PN) sequence that consists of the sum of several sequences. On the other hand, in the proposed system, binary level output can be obtained by using a constant amplitude composite sequence. Performance of the code-diversity system is improved by well combining the outputs of branch correlators, each of which has a reference sequence formed by distinct components of the composite sequence, to decrease the cross-correlation in the receiver. We compare BER performances of the previous and proposed code-diversity systems in a near-far problem, and examine the constructions of diversity branch for despread sequence. In addition, we note difference of output of transmitter in both methods, and examine the code-diversity using limiters. As a result, we explain that BER performance of the proposed system has nearly equal to that of the previous system. Further, depending on diversity branch construction, the possibility of BER improvement is shown. And we explain the advantage of the proposed system using limiters.
