Ultra Wideband(UWB) is a promising technology that enables high-rate short-range wireless communication with more than hundreds Mbps. It is necessary for UWB receiver to obtain high SNR because transmitted UWB signal must maintain very low level of power spectral density. Moreover, multipath fading is other element of performance degradation in indoor channel. In this paper, we proposed a selective Rake receiver that uses two or more template wave forms to reduce these problems. Performance of DS-UWB system with proposed selective Rake receiver is we investigated by computer simulation. Simulation results show that the proposed Rake receiver is effective to improve the error rate performance as the number of template waveform increases. |
