FDTD Analysis of Wavelength Demultiplexer Composed of Photonic Crystal Superprism and Superlens

(in English) We propose a novel compact demultiplexer, which utilizes the photonic crystal superprism and superlens. The superlens has flat input/output ends and its focusing characteristic does not depend on the input position of light. The focused spot of the superlens is decided the diffraction limit of k vector in the photonic crystal and the aberration of S vector. These properties allow the use it as a condenser lens combined with the superprism as a diffraction grating, the superprism which deflects of the S vector, and miniaturize the monochometer system. The device was designed from the dispersion surface and its operation was demonstrated by FDTD simulation.
