Frequency-domain equalization with inter-block interference suppression for multi-carrier transmission

(in English) High speed data transmission is required for the next generation mobile communication systems. Broadband wireless channel is composed of many propagation paths with different time delays, producing severe frequency-selective fading. A broadband multi-access technique that can overcome the frequency-selective fading is necessary. Recently, multi-carrier code division multiple access (MC-CDMA) has been attracting much attention. MC-CDMA requires the insertion of guard interval (GI) to avoid the inter-block interference; however, the GI insertion reduces the transmission efficiency. In this paper, a new frequency-domain equalization technique, that requires no GI insertion is presented and the BER performance is evaluated by the computer simulation.
