Implementation and Test of The High Reliable Network System Based on Layer 2 Technology

(in English) It is well known that the Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) is a method of redundant communications using Layer 2 technology in the IP communications. Since STP needs the convergence time from several seconds to dozens seconds, it is difficult to apply the STP to the reliable communications that can’t be stopped. As the Internet users are spreading, the equipments of LAN have become cheaper. Supplying the high reliable communications in the low Layer technology makes the equipments simple structure, low cost and low latency.
In this paper, we propose the high reliable and high quality communication system with Layer 2 technology, and report the hardware implementation and its test.
