S-band packet communication test system for Quasi-Zenith Satellite System

(in English) S-band mobile satellite packet communication service will be provided by the developing Japanese Quasi-Zenith satellite system. In order to evaluate radio propagation properties of high-elevation satellite links and radio interference between the service and other systems, packet communication terminals and test equipment were fabricated. The outline of the system configuration and antennas for user terminals are shown.
