Fundamental circuit design for a high efficiency power amplifier of IMT-2000 booster repeater linearized by the self-adjusting cuber predistortion

(in English) In oreder to achieve low power consumption and consequent downsizing, it is effective for booster repeater of mobile communications to adopt the RF nonlinear compensation technology. In this report, a 2 GHz high efficiency power amplifier using Cuber-Predistortion circuit and its self-adjusting scheme is proposed aiming to apply to the booster repeater of IMT-2000. The fundamental circuit construction and experimental results are shown. Moreover, it is confirmed that the obtained ACLR performance satisfies relevant specification for IMT-2000.
