Printed Top-Loaded Monopole Antenna

(in English) This paper proposes a top-loaded monopole antenna composed of perpendicularly placed PCBs, which is effective for high-precision antenna manufacturing. FDTD analysis is carried out to introduce the equivalent circuit model. As a result, the antenna can be decomposed into two equivalent models in terms of radiation, and represented by an equivalent circuit in which the LCR-parallel circuit is coupled to the LCR-series circuit via a inductive transformer. The validity of proposed equivalent circuit is successfully confirmed by experiments. A bandwidth enhancement technique is also presented, and the fractional bandwidth of 20% is obtained for proposed antenna.
