Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Magnetic resonance angiography (MRA) which is non-invasive inspection is often used as screening examinations for the detection of cerebral aneurysms, but it is not easy for radiologist to detect small aneurysm of less than a diameter of 5mm without oversight. Conventional studies for detection of cerebral aneurysms proposed some methods to detect spherical structures by use of Hesse-matrix or curvature information expressed local geometry shape. However, it is a problem that calculation precision deteriorates to calculate differentiation to MRA including many noises. Therefore, this paper proposes the effective method for detecting cerebral aneurysms based on majority rule by voting curvature information. Thirteen cases with 13 aneurysms (diameter 2 to 15 mm) and 16 non-aneurysm cases were tested with this method. And as a result, all of 13 aneurysms were correctly detected with 1.14 false-positives per patient.
