We propose an error estimation method of a polarization control unit including solid state power amplifiers and phase shifters etc. Satellite communication antennas installed an airplane is requested the system control that the communication is not cut off by the body condition such as the circular flight, pitch up and vibration. Generally, geostationary communication satellite systems are used an orthogonal linear polarization. The polarization of the transmission wave from each airplane to the satellite is need to same as the polarization of the satellite. Therefore, the function setting up the polarization precisely becomes needed. The improved rotating-element electric-field vector (REV) method is an array antenna calibration method that used the amplitude/phase of the array composite electric field. Applying this method the efficacy was confirmed by the simulation and measurement. |
