Effect of ELF electrostimulation on cell function of macrophage

(in English) We have reported the effect of electric stimulation on the endocytosis of macrophages. To elucidate its mechanism, a fundamental study was conducted on the kinetic conditions of macrophage scavenger receptor class A (MSR-A) on cell membrane. The MSR-A was fluorescence-labeled and the change of the fluorescence distribution was measured. A significant difference was found in the spatial frequency distribution of a microscopic image. To investigate the fluidity of cell membrane, an experimental system was developed to realize the measurement of the fluorescence recovery after photobleaching (FRAP). In a preliminary result, the possibility of the fluidity decrease with electric stimulation was suggested.
