Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) With more publishing of Web pages, we have been able to get information from the Web pages. As a person doesn’t have knowledge related to an unfamiliar concept, it is difficult to understand the meaning. In this paper, we propose an information acquiring support system for understanding an unfamiliar concept by studying the relating knowledge systematically. First the system obtains Web pages that contain inputted keywords that describe the concept. Next it divides Web pages to some clusters. Then it gives the value of difficulty to clusters and sequences them. Finally it outputs clusters on the plane whose vertical axis means clusters’ difficulty and horizontal axis means their orders. From some experimental results, it was proved that users can be supported in understanding unfamiliar concepts with grasping the relation knowledge.
