In this paper, we propose a sensor network protocol for equaly distributing power consumption of sensor nodes on the dissemination tree (d-tree) in Scalable Energy-efficient Asynchronous Dissemination (SEAD). The proposed protocol constructs first\_d-tree and second\_d-tree between source and each sink. First\_d-tree and second\_d-tree are switched over alternatively to distribute the power consumption equal over sensor nodes. In addition, the number of branches at a interchange point on the d-tree is limited to be two to avoid excessive load of specific sensor node. The simulation results show that the proposed protocol can reduce the number of sensor nodes running out of battery and prevent reduction of sensing area compared with the conventional protocol. |
