Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) IEEE 802.11 WLAN systems have become widely used in various environments such as office networks, home networks and public WLAN services networks. In such environments an access point generally shares the same channel with multiple stations and communicates with them using the DCF procedure defined in IEEE 802.11. In the DCF procedure the delay time of downlink data frames increases rapidly with the number of stations. Besides, when some stations have a high downlink traffic load, the delay time of the downlink data frames of other stations may increase excessively.
In this paper, we propose new transmission schemes based on the frame bursting technique for both the AP and stations. The AP selects the packets to be sent to each station and send them using a frame bursting technique. On the other hand, stations are able to send burst of data frames after receiving a permission sent by the AP. We evaluated the performance of the proposed scheme through computer simulations.
