Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Recent progress of home network is increasing the interest for high-speed power line communication (PLC). It has a merit not to need the new installations of the communication cable. However, It has possibility that the radiating electromagnetic from the cable disturbs other radio communication system. Thus, the radiated field from the cable should be evaluated. In this paper, pair of conductors of an indoor AC mains cable and its ground plane were presented by four-port networks and the common-mode current was calculated. On the calculation, the capacitance between conductors and between one conductor and the ground plane were obtained from the numerical calculation to consider with the effect of the cable insulator. The radiated magnetic field was calculated from the common-mode current distribution along with the cable. The radiated magnetic field from 4 m long indoor AC mains cable was measured in an anechoic chamber to evaluate the validity of the calculation model. The results indicate that the calculation value was well agreed with the measured one.
