We have been developing “Camera-Typing Interface” that can read printed characters with a low-resolution camera attached to a PDA or cellular phone. The advantages of the proposed method are capability of automatic-concatenation and automatic-correction, robust recognition for low-quality images, and low-resource requirement. In this paper, we describe the details of the Camera-Typing Interface and experimental results for evaluation. |
