Channel-Drop Filter with Photonic Crystal Slabs -- Toward applications for WDM key devices --

(in English) Optical add-drop multiplexers (OADMs) based on 2D-photonic crystal slab, are one of very promising optical devices realizing photonic network. We have developed in-plane-type channel-drop filters (CDFs) using PC point defect micro cavity as a fundamental device for constructing the OADM. We theoretically analyzed drop efficiency of the CDF, and examined the device characteristics by fabrication. We obtained the band width in wavelength of about 0.5 nm, and drop efficiency of more than 50 %.
