We propose a new optical coupling system, where position of an optical axis from LD to optical fiber is tuned by active feedback control. We have been studying 2 kinds of method to detect the feedback control signal. This system does not need fine mechanical alignment and welding. Therefore, it works to shorten manufacturing time in the mass production. The system is also free from long-term optical power change caused by optical components displacement with environmental variation in temperature and oscillation. |
