Fundamental Study on Detection of Vehicle by Sound

(in English) The traffic accident is a social issue. The occurrence situation of the traffic accident is various. A lot of head-on collisions occur in the crossing without traffic lights. We are researching to prevent a head-on collision by sound. We pay attention to the sound from the tire of vehicle. The oncoming vehicle is detected by this sound. The approach direction is detected from the sound capture with two microphones. And the sound from running vehicles is detected by verifying the spectrum of the sound.
