Interval bigraphs are unit grid intersection graphs
Yota Otachi, Koichi Yamazaki (Gunma Univ.)
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) An interval bigraph is the intersection graph of two families of intervals on the real line such that vertices are adjacent iff their corresponding intervals belong to distinct families and intersect.
A unit grid intersection graph is the intersection graph of two families of vertical and horizontal line segments of unit length such that vertices are adjacent iff their corresponding segments belong to distinct families and cross.
In this paper we show that the class of unit grid intersection graphs properly includes the class of interval bigraphs.
