Collision detection is a very important process in physical simulations in the areas such as virtual reality, robot engineering, games and so on. A fast collision detection method is needed especially in real-time simulations, while very accurate and slow method may be suitable for off-line simulations. The collision detection method we propose in this paper is suitable for real-time simulations especially in very large scale, complex and dynamically changing environment. |
