Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) We have already proposed a time alignment control (TAC) in the uplink of dynamic parameter controlled OF/TDMA (DPC-OF/TDMA) system, and elucidated that the proposed TAC can mitigate an affect of multiple access interference (MAI) due to propagation delays. However, there is a problem on its complexity and calculation amount, because the proposed TAC must obtain cross-correlations between a received signal and reference symbols of all parallel sub-channels. Therefore, we propose a complexity reduction scheme for the proposed TAC in this paper. That reduction scheme modifies the form of reference symbols made from pilot symbols of all sub-channels, and includes 3 procedures; (i)shortening the symbol length, (ii)2-level quantization, and (iii)3-level quantization. In this paper, we evaluate performances of uplink ACTS (activation slot) error rate in an initial registration scenario by computer simulation, and elucidate the effectiveness of proposed complexity reduction scheme.
