Recently, stabilization of service quality and effective use of network resource become important problems in broadband real time applications, such as contents delivery services. Since the routing protocols generally used in the IP network(OSPF, BGP, etc) confines traffic to the shortest path, it is probable that the frequent traffic concentration causes packet delay and loss to each application session. In this Paper, we propose hitless Internet streaming scheme comprising network redundancy route control, and dynamic load balancing/forward error correction for each streaming session. The scheme is suitable for multi-homing environment, such as data center connected to plural ISPs. We evaluate the network usage efficiency through computer simulations and the hitless streaming transport performance through prototyping. |
