Coupling electrophysiological model and mechanical dynamics model for accurate simulation of myocardial tissue contraction

(in English) To simulate the contraction of myocardial tissue, it is essential to calculate the mechanical transformation of the entire tissue by using the contractile force calculated by an electrophysiological cell model. Due to the fact that the contractile force of a cell varies according to its shortening speed, simultaneous calculation of both models, the electrophysiological and the mechanical dynamics model, is necessary for an accurate simulation of myocardial tissue contraction. To achieve this, we constructed a coupling simulation model consisting of the electrophysiological and the mechanical dynamics model. Simulation results of isotonic and isometric contraction experiments are presented to show the accuracy of our model.
