Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In the case of 3-element ESPAR antenna, impedance matching is kept while reactance (reactance) diversity controlling by exchanging reactance value set of variable reactors loading to two parasitic elements. So far, the reactance diversity was estimated with fixed reactance value set, in this paper the reactance value set is optimized to achieve a high diversity effect by using a steepest gradient method. The result shows that reactance value sets, which minimize the cross correlation coefficient almost zero, exist continuously. Therefore, with having diversity effect, the one freedom remains, as there are two variable reactances. By using the freedom, an improvement of impedance matching, an increase of the gain in the DOA direction and a devised DC voltage control are proposed.
In order to estimate a gain improvement, it is needed to calculate a level of radiation pattern. So the formulations to calculate a directivity and a gain with considering impedance matching by introducing a vector effective length in an equivalent weight vector model is made clear.
