Performance Evaluation for Single-user Transmission with Frequency-domain Pre-equalization in DS-CDMA Mobile Radio

Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Recently, frequency-domain equalization (FDE) at a receiver has been attracting attention for improving the SC transmission (e.g., DS-CDMA) performance in a frequency-selective fading channel. Meanwhile, frequency domain pre-equalization at a transmitter has been under study as an effective technique to improve the transmission performance. For both way communication systems, the equalization processing for transmission and reception can be implemented at the one transmit/receiver side. In this paper, the BER performance using frequency-domain pre-equalization transmit diversity (FPTD) is evaluated by the computer simulation. The BER performance of FPTD is compared with that of space-time transmit diversity (STTD).
