Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) MC-CDMA Technique has been considered as one of the candidate transmission techniques for the next generation of mobile communication system because of its efficient usage of frequency bandwidth, robustness to multi-path fading and efficient accommodation of multiple users. Up to today, intensive study has been carried out for applying MC-CDMA to the downlink transmission because the channel response can be estimated easily by using the received common preamble symbol at each mobile station. In contrast, it is hard to employ it in the uplink transmission due to the difficulty of channel estimation. One of the solutions to solve this problem, the pre-equalization method is proposed in which the transmit signal from each mobile station is pre-equalized by using the estimated channel frequency response in the downlink. This paper firstly identifies the problem of MC-CDMA when transmitted signals from MSs are received asynchronously at the base station. To solve this problem, this paper proposes the time domain spreading OFDM with frequency spreading code. This paper also presents various computer simulation results to verify the proposed method.
