Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) To realize the several Gbps Broadband Communication Services such as Data-Grid and IP-SAN, new Transport Protocols such as High-Speed TCP, Scalable TCP and Fast TCP have been proposed. In These Transport Protocols the Sender increases the data transmission rapidly during the communication in order to utilize the Broadband Network resource. However These Protocols can cause the frequent Network Congestion. Therefore if other TCP communication coexists with the new Transport Protocols, other TCP decrease the communication speed because of the frequent Network congestion. In this paper, we propose "Multiple Policy TCP for High-Speed Network(MP-TCP)" in order to utilize the Network resources rapidly without oppressing other TCP communication. In MP-TCP the Sender has 2 Congestion Control Policies. The first policy is same as Current TCP Congestion Control policy. And the second policy Estimates the resource that can't be utilized by the first policy and utilize the unused, remained Network resource.
