As a method of transmitting the Hard real-time information which require strict real-time, OFDM subcarrier selection scheme has been proposed. By assigning the subcarriers of high-received power to real-time information, it was shown that good real-time communication could be realized, without using Time interleaving. However the assigned subcarriers haven’t enough received power when all subcarriers are weakened by multipath fading. In this paper, we show and evaluate the OFDM subcarrier selection scheme which used Rate-compatible punctured convolutional codes (rcpc codes). If the state of a transmission channel is good, Hard real-time informations are coded by high coding rate, and Soft real-time information are coded by low coding rate. In contrast the state of a transmission channel isn’t good, Hard real-time information are coded by low coding rate. We show the performance of Hard real-time information improves without changing data rate and transmitted power by changing coding rate in adaptation, and Soft real-time information serves almost same performance to the usual OFDM subcarrier selection scheme. |
