A miniaturized MIMO antenna for WiFi USB dongle using modified fractal patch and defected ground plane is proposed. It is composed of monopole antenna with modified fractal patch and rectangular slot on the ground plane. The fabricated antenna has compact size with dimension of 20 40 0.8 mm3, which is suitable for USB dongle. From the measured results, the mutual coupling between radiators is maintained at smaller than -15 dB, and the envelope correlation coefficient of the two antennas is lower than 0.1 over the operating frequency range of 2.40 ? 2.485 GHz. Obviously, the proposed MIMO antenna can support the bandwidth of WiFi applications. |
